About this gallery:

Like most people I fell in love with Grapevine the very first day I arrived. I liked it so much I came to work here in guest relations for a while and then I moved to Tucson. I am proud to say I am now a part of Grapevine again as the new web master. Now that I have been in this part of the country for some time now, I find myself appreciating all of the wonderful intricacies of the desert. For example, I now know that if there is a very wet monsoon season (typically from July to mid August) the desert will come alive with a proliferation of some of the most beautiful wild flowers known to man. 2006 was an especially wet monsoon and I knew the displays would be nothing short of magical. I called Eve and she said "Get down here! There are flowers we haven't seen in years!" Well, that was more than enough for me. I spent a wonderful two days trekking around the ranch and captured the magic around me. I hope you enjoy this gallery. Should you wish to contact me or be notified with a wild flower report, please send me an email. I would love to hear from you.
